We are pleased to announce the addition of Stephen Gutridge to the Prime Brokerage Product Development team in EMEA. Stephen comes to us from UBS where he has worked for 6 years as an equities product specialist in their Prime Brokerage product department. Stephen was instrumental in upgrading the TRS and rehypothecation abilities in the UBS PB platform as well as helping in the overhaul of their Risk Equity Margining process. Stephen will be located in the London office and will report directly to Luke White, co-head of Product Development for Newedge Prime Brokerage. Please join me in welcoming Stephen to the team.
New hire Origination & Structuring in New York: Eisso VanderMeulen
We are delighted to announce that Eisso Vandermeulen has joined the Newedge Prime Brokerage Origination & Structuring team in New York with focus on the developing the FX prime brokerage component as part of the overall multi asset class, multi instrument PB offering. Eisso joins from RJ O'Brien where he built the FX clearing and execution platform. Eisso started in banking in 1989 in commercial lending and in 1993 Eisso joined ABN AMRO as a Relationship Manager in the financial institutions group, covering insurance companies and asset managers. In 1996, Eisso moved to Chicago as the head of Trading Floor Credit and in 1999 Eisso joined ABN's FX-PB team. From 2000 to 2008 Eisso was head of FX Prime Brokerage managing all aspects of the business. Eisso has been a regular contributor to, and panelist on, FX industry publications and conferences. Eisso reports to Jonathan Gane, Head of Origination & Structuring, Americas with a dotted line to Andy Waterworth, Head of Fixed Income and Currency Strategies in London. A long overdue welcome to Amanda who joined us from Guidepoint Global back in June 2011. Amanda spent 4 years in sales and account management on the Hedge Fund team interacting closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts, helping to engage them in consultations and custom inquiries. Amanda will be working in sales for the EdgeConnect platform focusing on the distribution and marketing of our exclusive Research Providers into the buyside marketplace. Amanda reports to Mike Dolan, Head of EdgeConnect. She holds a BA English from Florida State University. Welcome aboard Amanda!

Please join me in welcoming Ara who comes to us from Instinet where he was a top producer and Co-Head of Research Sales. Ara spent the last 7 years at Instinet helping to build one of the most successful Independent Research Platforms on Wall Street. In addition to his management responsibilities, Ara covered the tri-state market, selling and marketing various research products across Oil & Gas, Retail, Healthcare, Economic, and Policy verticals to asset managers. Prior to Instinet, Ara spent five years in Institutional Sales at Lazard Freres in New York where he was part of a team responsible for $12 billion in Global Equity and Fixed Income Assets. In addition to selling and marketing our exclusive research products to the buyside, Ara will play a key role in product development and strategy across the EdgeConnect platform. It is a great pleasure to announce that David joins us from Instinet where he was a top producer and Co-Head of Research Sales. David spent the last 6 years at Instinet and is also credited with helping to build the Instinet Research Platform. David covered the tri-state hedge fund market and Canada in addition to managing a team of sales people covering North America. David also had a focus on selling and marketing research products across Oil & Gas, Retail, Healthcare, Economic and Policy verticals. Prior to Instinet, David spent 16 years in Telecommunications in various senior sales and management positions covering the corporate marketplace across all of North America. In addition to selling and marketing our exclusive research products to the buyside, David will play a key role in product development and strategy across the EdgeConnect platform. We are very pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Menslage to the Prime Brokerage Product Development team in New York. Michael comes to us from Rickard & Winans LLC where he worked for 1 year as Vice President of Equity Business Development and Sales. Previously he was at Edge Specialists LLC where he was Vice President of Equity Business Development, Trading, Operations and Project Management. Michael was instrumental at the CBOE with Edge Specialists, a small technology start-up, in significant increases in option order capture for market makers in their proprietary strategies and equity hedging. Michael will be located in the New York office and will report directly to Bernard Wiemeler, co-head of Product Development for Newedge Prime Brokerage.
